A quarter of Irish lads have admitted to forgetting about Valentines Day, even though they're in a relationship.

The survey by Aldi also shows half of Irish fellas will leave it until the last minute to buy their loved one a present for Valentines Day. No surprises there, then.

Half of men in a relationship said they usually wait until the day itself, February 14th, to pick up a bunch of flowers. Thoughtful.

On the upside, three-quarters of the guys say they never forget about Valentine's. Ahh.

This year, the supermarket chain has teamed up with Galway based Irish packaging designer Mike Howley to develop their new Exquisite Collection Showstopper for Valentines’ Day.

The range includes 24 Madame Red roses grown in Kenya,  yellow, pink and red Fairtrade roses from Ethiopia.
