Majority of people said they became more resilient during lockdown

61 percent of survey respondents said they became more resilient over lockdown and are better able to deal with tough times at home or at work.

The study was commissioned by Run In The Dark and the Mark Pollock Trust.

It was aimed at gauging the mental and physical wellbeing of Irish adults, as restrictions continue to ease.

The study found walking was the most popular form of exercise during the pandemic.

56 percent of adults say they took to the road during lockdown.

However, the closure of gyms and cancellation of team sports hit some hard.

46 per cent of men aged 18 to 24 said their general health and fitness worsened over lockdown.

Meanwhile 40 percent of Irish adults will continue working from home if they're given the choice.

It found that workers in Dublin are more keen to return to the office, with only 18 percent saying they won't go back.
