The whole initiative is aimed at giving you all you need to help your pet feel the best they can.

According to a recent survey of customers by Petmania, 78% of respondents said that they do not know their pet’s Body Condition Score.

But what is Body Condition Score?

You may think your pet is perfectly healthy, but do you really understand what that means?

Luckily Petmania have a body condition score (BCS) specifically for cats and dogs that you can check out.

It's an international scale to tell you if your pet is the right weight and how you can do this right at home.

BCS is super important for you to be aware of - it means that you can address any health issues with your vet and keep track of their weight.

Body Condition Score for Cats

BCS is a ranking scale form 1-9, with 1 being dangerously thin, and 9 being dangerously obese. while the ideal score for your cat/dog is 4-5.

Keeping track of BCS of your pet means that if your dog or cat is outside the recommended score, you can keep on top of any health implications by taking them to their vet.
