That's a massive chunk of time.

What could ya do with 40 hours?

Learn a new hobby? Teach yourself a tasty recipe? Finally finish that college assignment?

Well 40 hours is the length of time Love Island viewers will spend in front of the box this season. The guys over at Tyla.com crunched the numbers and came to the conclusion that if you're dedicated to catching the winter version of the show, you'll spend a massive 2400 minutes or 40 hours watching the winter instalment.

That's if you catch the show every single night.

Every episode usually runs from 9pm-10:05pm meaning it's 65 minutes in front of the telly every night. You then multiply that by the six nights its on a week before multiplying it again by the six weeks it's expected to run for.

They also added in the extra time it takes to watch the opening and finale episodes, which tend to be about one hour and 35 minutes long each. However for those die-hard fans, they didn't take into account Love Island:Unseen Bits or After Sun so if you watch those, the figure will be a good bit higher.

It's also worth noting that if you plan to watch the summer series as well then that figure will be more than doubled to about 93 hours. Ouch.
