A woman assaulted in Co. Louth earlier this month has died.

The assault took place at a house on the afternoon of the 3rd of May.

Pat Muckian was among 3 women attacked at a house in the Glenwood Estate in Dundalk on the afternoon of Friday May 3rd.

She was aged in her 80's and was initially treated at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda before being transferred to Beaumont in Dublin where she died yesterday.

47 year old Nicholas Muckian with an address at Glenwood, Dundalk was brought before the courts last week, charged with three counts of assault causing harm, in Glenwood on May 3rd.
