The infant was discovered yesterday afternoon.
An investigation has been launched into the death of a baby in Co Waterford.
Gardaí say the infant died in 'unexplained circumstances' at a house yesterday afternoon at around 2pm.
A post-mortem is due to be carried out and this will determine the course of the investigation.
