The 20-year-old college student Cameron Blair was killed in Co. Cork earlier this year.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, has pleaded guilty to the murder of 20-year-old Cameron Blair on Bandon Road in Co. Cork on January.
Dressed in a grey shirt and black trousers, he stood and pleaded guilty to the offence in the Central Criminal Court today.
Mr Blair was a second-year chemical engineering student at Cork Institute of Technology.
He died at Cork University Hospital on January 16 after being stabbed in the neck while attending a student party at a house in Cork city.
Two others are also facing charges in connection with Cameron’s death.
One of them is just 14 so reporting restrictions have been put in place in relation to the others in order to protect his identity.
Cameron’s family will be given the opportunity to deliver a Victim Impact Statement at next month’s hearing.
The guilty boy will continue to be detained at Oberstown Children Detention Centre until April 3, until a psychological assessment is made available to the court.
