The incident occured on St Attracta Road, in Cabra, shortly after 7pm on Sunday.

The 10 month old child was left at the side of the road, after the car-thief didn't realise the infant was in the back seat.

The man watched as a couple left the car engine running, and briefly went inside their home.

According to the Herald, their two children were in the car, and their child that's around 9 years-old, managed to jump from the car before the man sped off.

The car-jacker didn't realise there was an infant strapped into the back seat and reportedly removed the child from a car and continued driving.

Gardaí say the infant was discovered shortly afterwards uninjured,

No arrests have been made, however Gardaí say they're following a definite line of enquiry. Investigations are ongoing
