National Children's Hospital to have facial recognition cameras

The National Children's Hospital will have CCTV capable of recognising faces and storing images.

It's similar to a system used in China for surveillance and can analyse people's faces and keep up to date with people's movements within the facility.

The National Children's Hospital say just three percent of the cameras will have facial recognition software - and it hasn't been decided how the technology will be used.
