The FAI has announced its President Donal Conway will step down on January 25th at its EGM.
It comes as the association is due to publish its 2018 accounts, which are expected to reveal its in debt of 55 million euro.
It comes just hours before the association reveals its accounts, which have been delayed for a second time.
The figures were initially due yesterday at noon, but were pushed back by 24 hours.
Now the FAI has delayed opening their books - which is expected to reveal debt of 55 million euro - to 1 o clock this afternoon.
Details of John Delaney's severance package are also expected to be revealed.
