There are five new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland.
They are all associated with travel or contact with confirmed cases in this country. The news brings to 18 the total number of cases in the Republic, while a further case was confirmed in the North tonight also.
On the island of Ireland, there are now 22 positive tests.
Visiting restrictions have been put in place at 15 more hospitals across the country this evening due to the outbreak. They include all the public hospitals in the west and north west, and all those in the south and south west and are in place immediately.
Elsewhere, the Taoiseach says there isn't a case for widespread flight bans because of the Coronavirus. Leo Varadkar says the evidence is that it wouldn't be effective in preventing the spread of Covid-19.
The government is expecting to have an update on Monday in relation to how people who are forced to self-isolate will be supported financially.
