Sad news coming from Galway this morning.
A motorcyclist in his 20s has died in a road crash in Galway city.
It happened on Bóthar na dTreabh in Galway city at around half past 7 yesterday evening.
The section of road where the crash happened remains closed, pending a technical examination this morning, and local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses, or road users with video or dashcam footage to make it available to them.
