Gardaí are appealing to witnesses.
A man has died following a crash in Co Donegal in the early hours of this morning.
Gardai say shortly before 4am, a grey Volkswagen Golf left the road at Quigley's Point and ended up on the adjoining beach.
A man in his 30s, was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The main road between Muff and Quigleys Point is expected to remain closed for much of today to facilitate a technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to the incident.
