The newly crowned King of Thailand has been paraded through the capital, Bangkok.

Around 200,000 people have turned out in the baking heat to see him - all wearing yellow, the colour associated with royalty.

The 66-year-old Maha Vajiralongkorn's formal coronation took place yesterday - crowned as King Rama X, two years after he inherited the throne from his late father.

It's the second of three days of celebrations, estimated to cost €27 million.

It comes days after he got married for the fourth time, wedding the former deputy head of his personal security detail.

One man travelled 10 hours to catch a glimpse of the newly crowned king:

"This is the important ceremony in our life.

Thai people - everyone wants to see him.

Even though we only see him for a second or a minute, it's the best moment of our life."
