Dogs Trust has put a blanket ban on adoptions from now until the new year.
It's in a bid to prevent people rushing out to get a dog for Christmas.
The animal welfare charity has also switched off its puppy cam so viewers can't see what dogs are on offer.
Anyone looking to adopt a dog from Dogs Trust will now have to wait until after January 4th 2020.
