Gardaí have scaled down their search into reports a young boy fell into the River Boyne in Co Louth.
It's claimed a passer-by saw an 11 or 12-year-old child going into the river at the Bridge of Peace in Drogheda at 10.15 last night.
Gardaí say they haven't received any reports of a missing boy that's matches the description.
The gardai and the Irish Coast Guard helicopter carried out searches, but no one was found.
Boyne Fisherman's Rescue was also involved in searches during the night - its vice-chairman is Jason Clarke.
