Operations were suspended for a short time

Flight operations at Dublin airport were suspended for a short time yesterday evening, due to drone activity.
A spokesperson for the airport’s authority, DAA, told the Independent that flight operations had to be suspended for almost 10 minutes.
Four services due to land in Dublin were diverted to Belfast and Shannon.
Pilots of departing flights were advised that operations at Dublin had been suspended and they would not be taking off as a result of the sighting.
Under Irish law, a drone cannot operate within 5 kilometres of an airport.
Airport police officers responded to investigate the report, while it is understood gardaí were also alerted.
Editor of Air and Travel magazine - Eoghan Corry - says tracking culprits is difficult.
"Tracking the people who are behind it has proved a little bit elusive. The legislation is new and it's evolving but there are certainly no shortage of signs around Dublin Airport to let you know it's completely illegal to use a drone within 5km of an airport."
