European football's governing body has charged the Football Association of Ireland over a demonstration that took place during the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2020 qualifier against Georgia on Tuesday.

Fans of the sport showed their anger over the John Delaney controversy by throwing tennis balls onto the pitch at the Aviva Stadium during the game, which Ireland went on to win 1-0.

UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary committee will hear the case on the 16th of May and may impose a partial or full stadium ban.

However a fine is more likely.
