The runway opens today after six years of construction.

A Ryanair flight bound for Eindhoven in The Netherlands was the first flight to take off from Dublin's newest runway today.
The north runway - which is six times longer than O'Connell Street in Dublin - has taken six years of construction, but has been planned since the 1960s!

It runs parallel to the south runway and is expected to help the airport grow it's capacity.
€320 million has been spent on the runway which is expected to create 30,000 new jobs.
