A man in his 40s has been killed in a two car crash in Co. Kildare.
At around 9:50am this morning Gardaí were alerted to the two car crash on Easton Road in Leixlip.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 40s was pronouned dead at the scene.
A man in his 60s who was driving the other car has been taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown with non life threatening injuries.
Forensic Collision Investigators are currently at the scene.
The road is closed and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have camera footage to contact Leixlip Garda Station.
