Young Matthew Healy was found unresponsive in the early hours of Friday morning.
A woman is being questioned by Gardaí investigating the death of a 6 year old boy in Waterford.
Matthew Healy's body was found unresponsive in a car on the outskirts of Dunmore East early Friday morning.
Gardaí and the emergency services made the discovery after receiving calls about a woman distressed near the area.
Gardaí arrested a woman in her 30s at the scene, however she has been receiving medical treatment since then.
She has since been declared fit for interview.
Matthew is reposing at the home of his father James and mourners will be able to attend from 5pm to 8pm tonight. His funeral will take place in Cork tomorrow.
Mr Healy appealed for privacy at this time.
