"We Hanks' will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.''
Superstar actor Tom Hanks has confirmed he and his wife have been diagnosed with coronavirus.
In a statement issued through his official Twitter page, Hanks confirmed that he and his wife were tested for the illness after developing colds, chills and fevers while in Australia.
Hanks struck a relatively upbeat tone in the statement, saying: "We Hanks' will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than an a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?"
