And the weather is set to be decent enough, after today that is...

Fáilte Ireland expects about half a million people to spend the Bank Holiday in another county to their homes.

That, along with the opening of outdoor hospitality on Monday, is expected to kick start a €1 billion boost to the economy.

Weather is also a factor enticing people to travel, with it generally been promised as good from Sunday.

Meanwhile, Gardaí have been getting ready for the bank holiday.

Gardai say they'll break up crowds this bank holiday weekend, if there's concern over public safety.

They're appealing to people to socialise responsibly if meeting up outdoors, and officers will be patrolling popular spots like parks and beaches.

Hundreds of extra bins and toilets have been installed in cities like Dublin and Limerick.

And more funding's been made available to local authorities to provide facilities.
