The teenager, described as a fussy eater, has gone blind.
A British boy has ended up blind and deaf after eating only junk food most of his life.
The teenager from Bristol has been described as an extremely fussy eater, with a diet consisting of chips, crisps, white bread, ham and sausages.
He first went to the doctors at 14 complaining of tiredness and according to Sky reporter Sadiya Chowdhury, physicians couldn't initially work out what was causing his problems:
"He was found to have Vitamin B12 deficiencies. About a year later he came back, he had partial sight and partial hearing.''
''Again, doctors didn't know what was causing this and it wasn't until about two years later, when he was 17, that he was first asked about his diet."
According to the Annals of Internal Medicine, not getting proper nutrition can "permanently damage the nervous system, particularly vision."
