Ireland hit a new daily record yesterday for Covid jabs given

Meanwhile, 461 more cases have been confirmed.

A quarter of Irish adults have now received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Over 1.3 million doses have been administered across the country.

More than 41,000 jabs were given out yesterday - a new daily record.

Today, a further 461 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed and 5 additional deaths.

162 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 46 are in ICU.

It's been confirmed a delivery of 165,000 AstraZeneca jabs is to arrive here next week.

The National Immunisation Advisory Committee could also approve the rollout of Johnson & Johnson within days, once it's considered any link to rare blood clots.

Meanwhile, more than half of the population of the UK has had a Covid vaccine.

Figures from the British government show almost 33.5 million people have had their first dose there.

NHS England statistics show that over 107,000 people got a first jab yesterday.
