As we face the prospect of stricter measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Ireland, it's important to remember why it's so vital we follow the advice of the HSE and other medical professionals.
Yesterday, 191 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus were officially confirmed by the Department of Health, while a third death associated with the virus was also announced.
But in Italy the situation is much worse, and it's scenes like the Sky News report below that we need to avoid at all costs.
The country's death toll from the virus just surpassed China's, and there are over 41,000 people currently infected.
"They're fighting a war here and they're losing," the report by journalist Stuart Ramsay begins.
"Nobody expected this. Nobody thought they'd be treating so many so quickly. And it's not like flu. It is chronic pneumonia and it is killing hundreds each day.''
