The regulatory solutions company FinTrU has announced plans to create 300 new jobs in Donegal.

The company, which specialises in compliance, risk and controls and operations, is to set up a new European hub in Letterkenny.

The positions will be made available over the next five years.

CEO of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahan has described this announcement of jobs in Donegal as a hugely significant investment in the northwest:

"This is exactly the type of investment that the IDA is trying to attract under its regional strategy and we have seen from recent results that that strategy is really working."

Galway

Meanwhile there are also new employment opportunities on the way to Galway.

The medical device company Medtronic is set to create 200 research and development roles in the city.
