Students still do not know when they will get their Leaving Cert. results this year.
(Source: www.pixabay.com)Further and Higher Education Minister Simon Harris says the State Examinations Commission will decide on the date of the Leaving Cert results, once the actual exams are underway.
Some students and colleges have raised concerns about uncertainty around the date the results will be published.
Simon Harris says the decision will be made once it is clear how many students are sitting the exams in the coming weeks:
"What I'm relaying to you is definitely what the State Examinations Commission has shared with my department.
"Now what they have said and I suppose particularly want to say to Leaving Cert. students, and their parents, is that they will make a judgement call on the date once they begin to see the flow of the exams. So once they see that actually the bulk of students did the first sitting and not the second."
