A lion has triggered panic on the streets of an Italian town after escaping from a circus.
Kimba was seen wandering through neighbourhoods near Rome - while resisting attempts to sedate him.
It is understood that the animal escaped from a nearby circus before going on the hunt through the streets of the seaside town of Ladispoli on Saturday night.
Videos have been shared by feared locals on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He was eventually caught and returned home after several hours.
