Police detain knife wielding suspect on London Bridge after 'number of people' injured

UK police confirmed they were called to a stabbing this afternoon.

Police in London say a number of people have been injured after a stabbing at a premises near London Bridge.

Emergency services attended the scene including officers from the Metropolitan Police.

Those in the area have reported hearing a number of shots being fired.

A man has been detained by police.

'The alleged attacker has now been shot.'
