Gardaí say a file is being prepared for the DPP following a large wedding in Longford.
Over 100 people attended celebrations in a marquee in the town yesterday.
It's reported Longford County Council sought and received court order yesterday morning to prevent the event from going ahead however that didn't deter guests from arriving at the marquee.
After unsuccessfully serving the court order to those there, County Council agents and Gardaí withdrew.
Gardaí say they are investigating and will enforce any Covid 19 breaches, particularly current travel restrictions.
Martin Collins from the Pavee Point Traveller and Roma Centre says what happened is disappointing.
Chairman of Longford County Council Cllr Paul Ross described it as a "kick in the teeth to all of the ordinary, law abiding citizens of this county".
