A man in his 30s has been killed when he was hit by a car on the M1 in Meath last night.
The incident happened at around 12:15 this morning when a man who was walking on the M1 motorway was hit by a car, between Junction 8 and 9 south of Drogheda.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car was uninjured.
Gardaí at Ashbourne are appealing for any witnesses and for any road users who may have dash cam footage to come forward.
