Nadine Lott is being treated in St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin.
A man in his 30s remains in Garda custody this morning after a serious assault on a woman in Co Wicklow over the weekend.
The woman in her 30s was attacked at a house in Arklow in the early hours of Saturday morning and received serious injuries.
She has been named locally as Nadine Lott, and remains in a critical condition in St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin.
According to reports, Ms Lott was attacked while her young daughter was inside the home.
Gardaí said that she was stabbed a number of times and was physically assaulted, suffering several serious head wounds.
Ms Lott's the attacker then fled the scene in a car after a neighbour intervened.
