Labour is to support Sinn Fein's motion of no confidence in the government.
A spokesperson for the party said they believe it's time for change, adding that it's 'never had confidence in this government to address the serious issues'.
Sinn Fein's challenged Independents not to support the current government, which has lost it's technical majority after Donegal TD Joe McHugh's voted against the mica redress scheme.
The party's Agriculture spokesperson Matt Carthy doesn't believe the motion's a waste of time:
"We have a responsibility, I would argue an obligation, to hold Government to account and to challenge a government that is failing.
The government have been in office for two years. If you look at all the big parameters, all the areas in which people need Government to act, Government have been failing."
