A number of senior Green Party members are calling for PFG to be rejected

None of the three parties involved in government formation talks came away with the perfect deal, according to one of the Greens' negotiators.

A number of senior members of the Green Party have joined calls for the programme for government to be rejected.

Party chair Hazel Chu and leader in the North, Clare Bailey, want a "No" vote - and believe a better deal is possible.

Finance spokesperson Neasa Hourigan said the party "gave away too much" in the last hours of negotiations.

Two thirds of Green Party members will need to back going into coalition with Fianna Fail and Fine Gael.

She's joined the leader in the North and party chair in planning to vote against going into coalition with Fianna Fail and Fine Gael.

TD Francis Noel Duffy also opposes the programme for government - but doesn't believe too much ground was given:
