A new competition has been launched to find the perfect prayer for the National Ploughing Championships!
(Source: @NPAIE/Twitter)The search is on to find a new prayer for one of the most famous events on the Irish calendar.
The National Ploughing Championships will take place in Co. Carlow from September 17th to 19th, and ahead of the event, people are invited to compose a suitable prayer for it.

If you want to write one you should focus on things like farming, gardening or sustainability and you should keep it fairly brief - no more than 100 words.
The winner will be chosen and revealed at the Championships.
Meanwhile the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin Denis Nulty is also on a mission to find the best-loved prayer in Ireland, with voting for that open until September 10th.
