Five fishermen are home safe and well today after a mammoth rescue overnight, off the coast of Donegal.
Lough Swilly RNLI, Arranmore RNLI and the Portrush lifeboat were all deployed after the 45-foot crab fisher sent out a MAYDAY alert, when it lost engine power yesterday.
The rescue volunteers managed to get the boat under tow - 20 miles north of Fanad Head - and brought it back to Rathmullen where it docked safely at 4am this morning.
Lough Swilly Lifeboat's Joe Joyce says conditions were incredibly tough:
This video was captured by RNLI Portrush crew member Dave Robinson on the way out to assist the vessel and you can see just how huge the swells were:
Hats off to the crews!
