This violent burglary happened at around 1.00am yesterday near Ballintubber, at a business which is attached to a home.
A man in his sixties was attacked but did not need medical attention afterwards.
It is reported that a 94-year-old woman and her sons were held hostage in one room while a gang of six men ransacked the rest of the property.
The culprits made off with a small amount of cash and some jewellery.
Castlerea Gardaí have launched an investigation but no arrests have been made as of yet.
Officers are keen to speak with anyone who was in Ash Park, Ballintubber, Co. Roscommon between 10.00pm on Sunday and 1.00am on Monday, including people with dash cam video footage.
