The DAA has been tasked with coming up with solutions by tomorrow ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

Dublin airport has been experiencing massive queues which have led to missed flights.

Ryanair has called for the army to be called in to ensure all security gates at Dublin Airport are open.

Bosses have also been criticised for letting staff go during the pandemic, leading to current shortages in the Airport.

To help solve problems at Dublin airport, the DAA will have daily meetings with the Department of Transport.

The Junior Transport Minister says it is up to Dublin Airport bosses to know how many passengers are going through.

Dublin Airport Authority has said it doesn't know the exact numbers of people which pass through the airport as it is 'commercially sensitive information'.

Speaking in Brussels, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said the situation has to change:

"It is unacceptable what has happened its not good enough and people should not be treated in that way.

And there will be daily meetings with the Department of Transport and the DAA."

"The Government is looking for a very clear plan to ensure that this type of thing doesn't happen again.

Whatever has to be done now is done to improve the operation of efficiency in Dublin airport."
