The HSE said it has NOT advised the school to close.
A school in Co. Meath has closed its doors as a precaution over the coronavirus.
The O'Growney National School in Athboy, which has around 360 students, says it is waiting for more information from the HSE.
On its Facebook page, O Growney NS Parents Association in Athboy posted: "We have closed the school as a precaution and are awaiting further instructions from the HSE."
However in a statement this morning, the HSE said it has not advised the school to close, reports the Irish Examiner.
''As part of the ongoing contact tracing the HSE has not advised any further closure of schools beyond the one school that was shut on Sunday last.''
Meanwhile, efforts are continuing to trace anyone who came into contact with a woman from the east of the country, who's the second person in Ireland to have Covid 19.
Health Minister Simon Harris said extra resources will be provided if the health service comes under more pressure.
''We know we need more capacity in the Irish health service, but in the middle of an emergency like this we need to make decisions, and they're not pleasant decision that need to be made'', he said.
'Those decisions relate to the prioritising of more serious illnesses and perhaps the cancellation of elective surgeries, but we're nowhere near that point now.''
''But we do have the ability to make decisions on the basis of clinical need.''
