Colin Farrell has been awarded a Best Actor gong at the Golden Globes.

It was one of a hat-trick of accolades for the Irish film 'The Banshees of Inisherin' which was among the big winners at the ceremony in Beverly Hills.
The movie filmed on Achill Island in Co. Mayo, scooped three major awards including Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Screenplay.
Colin Farrell won one of the Best Actor awards and used his acceptance speech to pay tribute to the writer of the film.
