A third person diagnosed with Covid 19 in Ireland has died.

RTÉ News report that the victim was a female in the east of the country. The Department of Health is unaware if the woman had an underlying health condition in this case.

191 new cases in the Republic have also been confirmed by the Department.

That means the total number of people in the Republic of Ireland with Coronavirus stands at 557. It marks a 52% increase in the number of cases compared to yesterday.

Monaghan is now the only county in Ireland without a confirmed case so far.
