Thousands of visitors are expected to start arriving in Ireland early this week, ahead of St. Patrick's Day.

The National Holiday traditionally signals the start of the holiday season in Ireland.

In the four days leading up to the day itself, 175 thousand passengers will arrive at Dublin Airport.

50 thousand people will arrive on St. Partrick's Day.

DAA's Graeme Mc Queen says it will be a very busy week at the airport.

"We'll see a lot of marching bands and Americans coming over for the festival. They'll start to arrive from really Tuesday, Wednesday onwards. A lot of those will come in through terminal two but the teams are well set up. We know that this is going to happen every March, so it will be busy, but anyone using the airport over the week ahead can expect to have a good experience."
