The European Commission is believed to be considering a vaccine passport scheme for all its member states - as many of them look to reopen borders for summer tourists.
The scheme would provide proof a person has been vaccinated, or show covid-19 test results for people who haven't received a jab.
Spain was the latest to announce it would introduce covid passports from May, after Greece said it hopes to do the same.
Meanwhile, Ryanair is launching a Covid-19 travel wallet feature on its app.
It will allow passengers to upload negative test results, Covid vaccination certificates and other related documents which may be needed for EU travel this summer.
It comes as airlines try to facilitate the speedy recovery of the travel industry.
