"I'm dreaming of a damp Christmas"

A wet Christmas is more likely than a white one this year, according to forecasters.
Met Eireann expects light rain on Christmas Eve while the 25th looks to be a mixed bag of showers and dry periods.
The forecaster says:
"Friday, will bring rain at times in light to moderate east to southeast breezes. A bit colder with highs of 7 to 9 degrees.
At the moment, Christmas day looks like bringing some further rain at times but dry periods too. Highest temperatures around 5 to 9 degrees (coldest over north Ulster with some sleet possible on hills).
The further outlook period will probably gradually turn colder."
So, temperatures looking set to stay between 5 and 9 degrees over the festive week.
Nippy enough to get into your bones, but more than likely not enough for snow.
