Would you name your child after this Harland?

But is the name Harland really worth the money?

Well this is bizarre... KFC have launched a stunt calling on expecting parents to name their child after the famous Colonel Sanders, who was named was 'Harland' apparently...

KFC will donate $11,000 (€9.5K) worth of college tuition to the first baby named Harland born on September 9, 2018.

September 9 is Colonel Harland Sanders’ birthday, and the donation amount is a nod to the company’s 11 herbs and spices.

If you’re willing to make that commitment, and your baby is born on September 9, you can submit an application at kfc.com/babyharland within 30 days.

And each entry will be vetted to make sure you’re not making it all up.

Obviously there's a few downsides to the whole deal... Chiefly the fact your baby would be called Harland, plus what if it's a Girl?!

And what happens if you're the second baby named Harland born that day? You're stuck with the same story, but without the college scholarship.

Well, if in 18-years time you start coming across an influx of Harland's, at least you know why!

Who knows... maybe the name will make a comeback?
