He was reportedly found with an open bottle of wine, and driving on the wrong side of the road
A lorry driver has been charged with a series of offences, after a breath test undertaken by Garda indicated he was 11 times over the drink-driving limit.
The man first raised suspicions when he was caught driving on the wrong side of the road in Co Roscommon yesterday.
An open bottle of wine was found next to the driver when he was stopped at Cloontuskert, near the Longford border.
He was also reportedly not wearing a seat belt.
The man was charged at Roscommon garda station with two counts of dangerous driving and one of drink driving.
He is due to appear in court at a later date.
