Man tragically dies after slipping in bathroom and falling onto toilet brush

Despite attempts to save him, the man dies in hospital

A 60-Year old man has sadly passed away, after he apparently slipped in his bathroom and stabbed himself with the handle of a toilet brush.

The man, who has not been named, was rushed to hospital.

However, he died in hospital despite doctors’ attempts to save him.

The incident happened at the man's home in the town of Istra, near Moscow, Russia according to the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper.

Doctors gave him strong antibiotics and carried out various scans including an MRI and X-rays upon his arrival in hospital.

However, the toilet brush had broken off above his eye, and it was impossible to pull it out.

After an initial operation the man remained in a coma and was moved to a hospital closer to home for more treatment.

However, he never regained consciousness and died a few days later.
