Ah lads...

There's no non-gross way of saying this, so we'll just come right out with it.

When Brian McFadden and Delta Goodrem were a couple between 2004 and 2011, they would play a bizarre couples game in which they would spit in each others mouths.

In public.

The disgusting revelation came to light on Sydney's KIIS FM, when host Kyle Sandilands was reminiscing about having the former couple around to his house.

He was then suddenly reminded of the spitting game, in a light bulb type moment.

Speaking to his co-host, Kyle said:

''I remember when I’d have them around my house and they were in love and sometimes would spit in each other’s mouth. Fun, they said fun. I always thought, ‘Wow! That’s weird.''

And in case you’re having any difficulty imagining how that played out, Kyle added:

''Delta would sit with her mouth open and Brian would spit into her mouth and Delta would spit back into his mouth.''

Wow...
