There's some rough weather on the way next week
Met Éireann stated on Thursday that some 'very disturbed weather' would make it's way towards Ireland in the coming days.
Now, they've revealed a little more of what we can expect, after they confirmed that ex-tropical storm Helene will most likely approach our shores on Monday or Tuesday.
Helene was just one of the three recent hurricanes that developed in the Atlantic. Writing about the upcoming rough weather on it's website, Met Éireann said:
"Current indications are that (ex-)tropical storm Helene will approach Ireland's south coast Monday night or Tuesday. It is likely to bring wet and windy weather, but at the moment there are no strong indications that it will bring any severe or damaging weather."
Latest charts for the remains of #Helene are not good news with the path moving back in over Ireland. This is just one run but it’s not a good one with strong gusts and heavy rain Monday night and again Tuesday night. All eyes on the ECMWF update later this morning. pic.twitter.com/xLOGbV3gEv

Carlow Weather is also warning the public ahead of Storm Helene's arrival.
"Latest charts for the remains of Storm Helene are not good news with the path moving back in over Ireland. This is just one run but it’s not a good one with strong gusts and heavy rain Monday night and again Tuesday night. All eyes on the ECMWF update later this morning," they state.
The latest ECMWF keeps the center of the remains of #Helene off the Southeast coast with strongest winds in the Irish Sea but heavy rain. This shows the difference in the weather models and why confidence in any forecast beyond Sunday is low. pic.twitter.com/bSAse4g1GQ
